here we go again

The second project has begun. It's noisy and I can tell things are difficult, mainly due to how dry and hard the ground is. It's early days so of course as with all projects it looks like a total mess. Despite taking several weeks overall to complete, it should shape up fairly quickly. Some things are taken care of off site, but it doesn't mean it's too chaotic or messy here while waiting for those things to return. The first couple of days will be the worst.
It's also mainly outside, so while I can say it's not as intrusive as the previous project, it is taking over the front garden. Piles of dirt, plumb lines, drilling, bits of wood and tools.

The dragon next door has absolutely no reason to stick her nose into our business. The garage has been emptied for a reason, the reason being so both cars could be parked in there, leaving the drive completely clear when Bill is out working and using the van. There is literally nothing for her to be buzzing around taking photos of. I have no doubt she'll still be moaning because of the noise, but I don't care, it'll be over by the end of today, the next parts will be quieter.
We've put the cars away purely so she has no reason whatsoever to come anywhere near us, neither of us want to see her face or hear her moaning. No respect for her, just making sure we don't have to deal with her.

We were meant to get rain or storms last night. We had neither. Urgh. It's incredibly muggy, a good storm and some decent rain would be welcome right now, the air needs clearing and the garden would love a good dousing.

  1. I admire your approach Sadie. Leave nothing to chance, know you are squeaky clean and press on. I hope the project goes smoothly. We have had a little rain here in the Cotswolds, it has cleared the air but not made much impact on the gardens. Take care X

    1. exactly that Agatha! We've done as much as we can to give her as little as possible to moan about. No doubt she still will, but even she has to see we've done as much as realistically possible to keep things contained.

It keeps trying to rain here. I hear a patter, look out and there are raindrops. Then they stop. It's doing nothing more than mess with our minds. Sounds like your rain was pretty hopeless too.
      xx
