not new, but sort of

As I've gone through my stash of magazines and books in the garage, I've found one or two that I had either forgotten about or had searched for and not been able to find.
Not sure which category this book falls into, as to be honest I have no memory of buying it in the first place. When I found it I looked at it and thought I'd shove it straight into recycling, I've just got rid of a pie book that I'd had for years and never used, didn't really want to replace it with another.

Leafing through I saw so many recipes that I'd like to try. It's more than just pies, and all recipes look achievable. I can't believe I almost got rid of it without a second glance, it's a lovely book and the recipes are what I call 'normal'. As in they don't have a million ingredients or anything obscure that you'd buy, use once, and never use again.

Dreaming of cooler days when I can spend a bit of time pottering in the kitchen. I promised that I would make a really fancy cake once the kitchen was useable again, but with all the hotness we've had I have not felt inclined to spend much time cooking.
Instead I'm enjoying reading cookbooks and making plans of things to cook when it'll be fun to do again.
