pumpkin
When the skip was here I chucked out a lot of stuff from Christmas & Crafts that I knew I didn't want to use again. All Halloween stuff has gone, including the orange pumpkin ornaments that I displayed on the shelves every year. They were chipped in places and orange isn't a colour that I love, it was easy to get rid of them.
The few things I have left are subtle and will be perfect for adding just the merest hint of a nod to the season.
Yesterday Bill and I were in The Range, an autumnal hued display caught my eye. Not Halloween, but Autumn decorations which included the cream and gold ceramic pumpkin seen here. It's quite small but big enough to be noticed, and matched a cream and gold pumpkin I already have. I still have shelves for display purposes, it was something I really didn't want to lose. I'm looking forward to dressing them this week.
That's it for new seasonal decorations though. I'm still on a mission to purge the garage of things I know aren't going to be used again, and while I may have been tempted by this pumpkin, I have no intention on buying new stuff to replace the old and discarded.
