pool

  We've decided not to put the big pool up this year, mainly because it takes ages to get it built and filled so it has to stay up until the end of August to justify it, by which time the grass underneath has turned into a smelly swamp and died. It comes back easily enough, it's just a pain to deal with.
Yesterday was so hot, Bill asked if we still had a smaller pool, the answer was yes. I got it out and sorted it out. So much quicker to put up than the large one, and it'll be speedy to empty and take down again too.

It really feels like summer when you look out and see a bright blue and white pool in the middle of the garden.

Much quieter in the house today. As of writing this post I have a TV man sorting out a signal problem. Bill wanted a TV in the kitchen, and while I don't hate them I am prefer to use the laptop. You can watch TV on it so I would be happy enough to do that. But Bill likes watching the news when he has breakfast, so it was important to him to get the signal sorted. The chap has been here about an hour and looks like he's nearly done.
This afternoon the tiler will be back to do the grouting and then that's it. Kitchen done. Well, save for a few teeny details which I have been emailing and calling about today.
Now I need to find someone to collect and get rid of the old fridge and microwave, hoping I can get that organised for collection soon.
