a pint of prawns

Also from the Suffolk Food Hall: a pint of prawns. I love that you can still buy prawns by the pint.
Neither Bill nor Violet enjoy preparing prawns, but I enjoy it. There is something very relaxing about working your way through a pile of pink prawns and pulling off the legs, heads and shells. I also think it's a life skill, and one I try to pass on to Violet, but so far she has no interest!

Usually I'll just throw together prawn cocktails, but this time I had a plan and that was to make prawn spaghetti.
Nothing difficult or fancy, just fresh spaghetti (because it's so much quicker than dried), melted butter, parsley, garlic, lemon zest, and a good sprinkle of chilli flakes. I baked some cherry tomatoes because we had plenty from the garden, but normally I'd leave those out, the other flavours are so good that nothing else is needed.
Toss in the prawns and cooked spaghetti and you're done. Utterly divine.

You can totally tell Masterchef has been back on telly, it's the only time I get inspired and make more of an effort!
