Last week I was tempted to buy some corn on the cob, but I decided not to, knowing that ours was almost ready.
So glad I waited, at last the sweetcorn is ready, so my big treat most days is to go out and pick one, cook it, and eat it.
Not much is needed, I just add butter and make sure it melts, salt, and some chopped parsley. If I fancy a bit of a kick I'll add a few chilli flakes, but it's best kept simple as the flavour of it is perfect on its own.
It's so much better than anything in the shops, and you can't get fresher than picking it from your own garden.
Such a treat.
