After saying it looked like the next project wouldn't happen there has been a flurry of communication back and forth this week, and it is now looking as if things might begin after all. As early as next week. Still not holding my breath or letting my hopes get up too much, but at least the hope is there.

So with this progression, Bill and I decided we needed to start making plans to order bits and pieces that we have to sort out. We didn't dare to do it earlier. It isn't a great deal, certainly not after considering all the kitchen decision making, but a few things needed picking out and will need to be ordered.

We are really lucky to live close to a Jim Lawrence showroom. I've known of the name and products for years thanks to Country Living magazine, but I had no idea that not only was it local, but another family run business.

There is something very satisfying about shopping for products and services for the house from a local, family run business. It just feels right.
If you get the chance to visit a showroom then I highly recommend it. They way they display everything is perfect. It's well thought out, very easy to see details up close, and the customer service is fantastic. You are left alone to browse, staff are readily available to give help, advice or a quote, and there is no pressure at all to buy. It's so laid back and beautiful, it makes it a very enjoyable experience. I'm showing photos of the lighting here, but it's not all we need to select, just not showing anything else as I don't want to jinx things.
